The Southern California region kicked off the 2008 season points opener at Willow Springs International Raceway on February 9th and 10th. This was our first year to include the Winter event in our championship series points total, and we had a good turnout of drivers. TTR and TTB were the largest classes, with six and seven drivers respectively. Congratulations go out to Scott Howard (TTS) and Shawn Dolan (TTD) who both set new track records on Sunday.
Our next event will be at California Speedway on March 21st and 22nd, and the event is already sold-out. If you want to get on the waiting list, contact greg@nasa-tt.com. Registration is now available for our first Buttonwillow event of the year on April 26th and 27th. We will be running configuration #13 clockwise. This event has also sold out in the past, so please register early if you are interested in participating.
