SoCal Leads the NASA TT Program into 2010
The NASA TT program began in the Southern California region over six years ago. Since then, we have had one of the largest TT programs in NASA. Last year we had over 120 competitors, and awarded Championship trophies and prizes to 20 drivers in 8 competition classes. Three SoCal drivers brought home National Championships from Mid-Ohio in 2006 (Pat Lindsey--TTA, Greg Greenbaum--TTC, and Dan Gardner--TTF), and one in 2007 (Greg Greenbaum--TTC), one in 2008 (Bart Carter--TTR), and one in 2009 (Greg Greenbaum--TTB). We look forward to sending more drivers to the 2010 NASA Championships at Miller Motorsports Park than we have in the past.
In 2010, we will be competing at three great local tracks as well as at the National Championships at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah: AAA Speedway (full “Roval”), Willow Springs International Raceway, and Buttonwillow Raceway Park. At Buttonwillow Raceway Park, we will use between multiple different configurations of the track for competition, giving us plenty of diversity for the season. We will be going to Willow Springs on February 6th-7th for our season opener and first event that counts toward the 2010 SoCal Championship TT Series. Our second event will be at AAA Speedway on March 12th-14th. This season, we have the opportunity to compete twice at AAA Speedway, something that our drivers have been seeking for years, and enjoyed last season. The season doesn’t end until Nov 6th-7th when we finish the year at Buttonwillow. We are mandating four points "drop days" this season. This should be the best year yet! Come and join us.
