Ok guys and gals, I thank you for your patience as this has been a long process,
with input from a lot of people. We have made multiple improvements to the PT
and TT Rules for 2009. I will list the major changes below. The actual TT Rules
will not be posted for at least a few more days, but the PT and ST Rules should
be posted sometime today, and all of the classing rules will continue to be
identical between TT and PT. Updated Car Classification Forms will also be at
least a few more days. We hope that you will agree that we have moved in a
positive direction with these rules. As you will see, we have seriously taken into
account your input over the years. Thanks, and have a great season in 2009!

Grassroots Motorsports magazine and Hankook tires will once again team up with NASA TT to put on the third annual Ultimate Track Car Challenge on July 24, 2009 at VIRginia International Raceway's 3.3 mile full course! This is as close to a 'run what ya brung' TT as you will ever see with NASA, and we are expecting some serious machinery piloted by some great drivers. The only question is, how many of 'em will go under the difficult and highly coveted 2-minute lap time?
Please visit http://www.grassrootsmotorsports.com/events/utcc-2009 for much more information.
The GRM contact (for general questions, classing or car eligibility questions, etc) is Scott Lear, scott@grassrootsmotorsports.com
The NASA contact (for questions about driver eligibility, tech inspection, run format, schedule, etc) is Jon Felton, jon@nasa-tt.com

RICHMOND, CA (Mar 17, 2009) — The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce that Hoosier Racing Tire will offer a generous contingency program to NASA members in 2009.
"The decision to launch a Hoosier Racing Tire contingency program for NASA in 2008 instantly paid big dividends by generating tons of support from NASA competitors. Hoosier shod drivers dominated in the open tire classes at the 2008 NASA Nationals resulting in 16 out of 18 possible championships," said Bruce Foss, Hoosier Racing Tire Road Racing Product Manager.
Foss added, "The continuation and expansion of the NASA contingency program for 2009 is a logical progression. We look forward to the exciting and successful benefits for Hoosier Racing Tire and competitors using the Hoosier brand."
To assure that NASA competitors understand Hoosier's value of their support, Hoosier Racing Tire has expanded the contingency program this year to include the Time Trial competitors, as well as, all the classes that were included last year. The purpose of this program is to reward the success of those drivers and ensure Hoosier Racing Tire remains the tire of choice for NASA racers in 2009.
