RULES REVISED AND INCORPORATED
We have word from NASA Headquarters that new rules and classification forms have been substituted for the previous Time Trials rules and forms.  They believe this should be the last addendum or revision to the 2006 rules.  The new rules version will be a stand-alone document.  We wont be required to go back and forth between the original rules and the addendums or amendments.
A few of the changes are:
1) The rules emphasize that TT will be run in "advanced level open-passing sessions".
2) TT events will not be held under required point-by conditions.  However, we are reminded that safety is a particularly important factor of HPDE and  Time Trialing.  We are not running under  racing conditions.  Passing should be done safely and we should always be aware of traffic behind and in front of us.
3) Another change involves clarification of the +12 points for shocks/dampers modification.  Added is , "Also, any shocks/coil-overs with a retail price of greater than $750 each."
4) "Shims" has been added as a method of obtaining camber that costs +2.
5) And, since off the shelf camber plates (like Ground Control's) have slots that do allow for a slight amount of caster adjustment, some wording added to make them legal as long as caster remains within factory specs.
6) Retail camber plates that have a pillow-ball joint will not incur a +3 assessment for metallic/mixed bushings.
7) There is added language to encourage drivers to obtain and use as much safety equipment as possible.

THE CAR CLASSIFICATION FORM IS UPDATED TO THE CURRENT RULES!
So, you should all re-classify your cars.  Cars w/ after market induction or rotary porting should pay close attention and may like the result.
All aftermarket forced induction add-ons must be referred to the National Director with the Horsepower and Weight numbers that the competitor desires to use and we are also asking for dyno sheets.  All competitors are encouraged to add a little cushion to their HP number to make sure they will be legal when National tests them (Dynopack dyno's are notorious for giving numbers up to 20-40 hp lower than DynoJets and Mustang dyno's).
Also included in the new download file for the Car Classification Form is a page 6 that regurgitates TT Rules 6.3.2 and 6.3.3 (FI and Porting) so that they are right there for the competitors.
