NASA Time Trial The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is in its 8th full season with its Time Trial Program. Last year, we had all NASA regions with full participation, with over 900 drivers nationwide. For 2011, we will continue to have full participation from our thirteen NASA regions, with over one hundred ninety events nationwide. We will be having our sixth annual National NASA Championship event, this year (and in 2012) at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Ohio, on September 8th-11th, where we will crown our National TT Champions. NASA TT utilizes a car classification system that is easy to understand, and gives HPDE-4 drivers a taste of competition by allowing them to compete for top lap times, in advanced, open passing run sessions, against similarly prepared cars for awards, prizes, and recognition. | | In total, there are nine Time Trial classes, including one unlimited, two semi-unlimited, and six limited classes. Each region has its own Regional Championship Series that gives us our regional champions, and qualifies drivers to become eligible to compete at the NASA National Championships at Miller Motorsports Park or Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (depending on the year). Awards are usually provided to our top-level finishers at each of the regional events. To compete in NASA TT, a driver must obtain a NASA National TT License, which requires the driver to be an advanced level driver or racer. Driver and vehicle safety are among our top concerns, and we have a pro-active safety program. Our HPDE program, that accommodates drivers of all experience levels, is the best way for a driver to become qualified to compete in Time Trial. The Time Trial program completes the NASA competition pathway from NASA-X to wheel-to-wheel racing. Questions? HOOSIER RACING TIRE TT CONTINGENCY 2009!!! (Main News) By Greg G. - Published: March 18, 2009

RICHMOND, CA (Mar 17, 2009) — The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce that Hoosier Racing Tire will offer a generous contingency program to NASA members in 2009. "The decision to launch a Hoosier Racing Tire contingency program for NASA in 2008 instantly paid big dividends by generating tons of support from NASA competitors. Hoosier shod drivers dominated in the open tire classes at the 2008 NASA Nationals resulting in 16 out of 18 possible championships," said Bruce Foss, Hoosier Racing Tire Road Racing Product Manager.
Foss added, "The continuation and expansion of the NASA contingency program for 2009 is a logical progression. We look forward to the exciting and successful benefits for Hoosier Racing Tire and competitors using the Hoosier brand."
To assure that NASA competitors understand Hoosier's value of their support, Hoosier Racing Tire has expanded the contingency program this year to include the Time Trial competitors, as well as, all the classes that were included last year. The purpose of this program is to reward the success of those drivers and ensure Hoosier Racing Tire remains the tire of choice for NASA racers in 2009.
